JILLIAN JOY X VANCOUVER
Jillian is bringing her modern filipinianas to Vancouver for one day only at Tahanan Studio, a BIPOC-led arts and community space in the heart of Mount Pleasant. Join us on Saturday, August 16 as we celebrate Filipino Fashion. The day will start off with Jillian Joy's sought after Butterfly Sleeve Workshop (ticketed event) followed by the pop-up open to the public.
The Pop-up
The pop-up will be open to the public from 3 PM - 7 PM! This is your chance to shop Jillian Joy's bestselling modern filipinianas IRL! Bring your Ates, Kuyas, Nanays, favourite Titas, and fellow modern filipiniana lovers.
Why shop in person? You'll be able to see and feel the pieces yourself, take advantage of trying on pieces in person, and take them home with you without the hassle of shipping and handling, meet Jillian Joy herself, and shop pop-up exclusive pieces!
The Butterfly Sleeve Workshop
Started in Toronto, brought to Los Angeles and now to Vancouver, BC!
Jillian Joy's Butterfly Sleeve Workshop is a unique, hands-on, cultural experience combining Filipino history & fashion, and resulting in a meaningful keepsake to take home. Hosted by Jillian Joy herself, participants will learn about the history & evolution of the terno, practice hand stitching techniques, draft their own sleeve pattern, and sew a silk organza mini sleeve to take home framed.
Taking place at Tadhana Studio at 11 AM before the pop-up opens, this is a ticketed event with limited space. You can purchase tickets here through Jillian Joy's website!
