HealthcareAgents

Abstract: Doctors are busy. Research is hard. Self-diagnosis is messy.  Will AI make things better, or worse? We think both, and our team of human researchers and patient advocates are here to help.  We advocate for patients to get them early access to AI-enhanced healthcare services, including:

• AI-assisted doctors
• cutting-edge diagnostics, and
• case-relevant medical research.

We're also researching product ideas to scale these opportunities to serve a larger audience in the future.

Bio: Andrew Critch is a researcher at the Center for Human-Compatible AI (CHAI) with a rich background in mathematics and machine learning. Previously, he served as a research fellow at the Machine Intelligence Research Institute and worked as a quantitative analyst and data scientist in New York City. Critch co-founded the Center for Applied Rationality (CFAR) in Berkeley, a non-profit organization focused on teaching rational decision-making techniques based on cognitive science. He earned his PhD in mathematics from UC Berkeley, where his research in algebraic statistics explored applications of algebraic geometry to causal inference and machine learning. His passion for machine learning has shaped his career and commitment to promoting data-driven decision-making.
