About Event
Join herbalist Savayda Jarone for a herb walk along the Musquodoboit Harbour Trailway to discover the wild medicinal and edible plants that grow there. We will discuss common uses and preparation methods, and guidelines for harvesting plants safely and sustainably in the wild. There will be a tree bark harvesting demonstration.
Savayda is a local herbalist, specializing in plant identification, and has been leading herb walks in Nova Scotia for 20 years.
This event is by donation, as a fundraiser for the Musquodoboit Trailways Association, donations can be made at the event, space is limited to 15.
