About the Forum:
The Indigenous Peoples and/or Local Communities VCM Engagement Forum was developed by the Integrity Council through extensive consultations with Indigenous and/or local community representatives worldwide. Recognising the need for Indigenous Peoples and/or local communities to have an active, central voice within the VCM, the Forum seeks to provide opportunities for capacity building, income generation, and biodiversity protection. It represents a critical step toward ensuring these communities are empowered as key partners and stakeholders in a high-integrity Voluntary Carbon Market.
