About Event

Research Impact Canada and the Future Skills Centre are hosting a Peer Learning Group (PLG) to complement FSC’s webinar on Advancing Inclusion: Working with and serving Black communities in Canada. This PLG will provide a collaborative space for participants to engage in open dialogue about innovative skills and strategies that will make the skills and workforce ecosystem more inclusive.

This session will begin with a presentation from Monumental Projects.

Following the presentation, participants will break into small groups for moderated discussions, where they can share their experiences, challenges, and opportunities in designing programs and initiatives that have encouraged inclusion of equity-seeking groups. This is an opportunity for attendees to learn from one another and explore practical strategies for overcoming barriers and fostering inclusive growth in the future of work.

Closed captioning and French-English Interpretation will be available for this session. The primer presentation will be recorded, but the discussion in breakout rooms will not. We will have a bilingual facilitator for one of the breakout rooms.

Expected Attendees

  • Employer Organizations

  • Training Providers

  • Workforce Intermediaries

  • Researchers

  • Policymakers
