


Fluid Candles: An Introduction to Hand-dipped Candles 制烛记
Description
This week, you will experiment with artistic candle making. What you will get out of the class:
An introduction to various candle materials (low-temperature wax vs. high-temperature wax)
Learn to use candle additives
Practice coloring techniques and combining essential oils
Have fun using molds to create your own candles
Experiment with hand-sculpting candles
Learn how to select and secure candle wicks
We will provide all the tools and materials for class use. You may take all the artwork you’ve produced with you!
Every “Repairing the Sky” Craft Workshop is composed of lectures on the history of the featured craft, an overview of basic techniques and tools, and guided practicing sessions. You can click on this link to learn more about the full semester class. Classes are beginner-friendly. Themes are interconnected yet self-contained. Students may enroll into one class, one series, or multiple classes/series at a time.

To maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable art-making environment for all participants, we kindly ask that no outside food or drinks are permitted. We do serve non-perishable drinks as part of Accent membership’s benefit. You may enjoy them in designated areas. If you have specific dietary needs or medical conditions that require personal food or drinks, please notify the studio in advance so we can make appropriate accommodations.
