​​Handpan HangOut, Skill Share & Open Mic

​​We're changing things up this year and will be traveling around the DMV area connecting handpans with commUNITY. Join Julian Desta and Sarah Paz Hyde in Richmond, VA June 7th from 2–4P. More information to come, regarding location for this donation based hang session!

​​Handpan enthusiasts, players, musicians and anyone curious about making music is invited to attend. Whether you are new to playing the handpan, an intermediate+ musician, or simply curious about the instrument, come see what it's all about and join us for an afternoon full of handpans, music & sweet vibes.

​​Don't have a handpan but want to come? Don’t worry, some instruments provided including frame drums, shakers, djembes, a few extra handpans and acoustic instruments floating around.

​​AFTERNOON FLOW:

• ​​INTRO & SKILL SHARE – Enthused about something you've learned about the handpan, and stoked to tell others?! Now's the time! We open the afternoon with a 30-minute window broken into learning pods. If you want to get into jamming, right away, that's ok too!

• ​​JAM TIME – We'll spend ~1 hour in music mode, meaning bring your handpan and/or

• ​​"OPEN MIC " CLOSING CIRCLE – Closing our time together, participants may opt to share a piece they're working on in this song in the round style circle share.

She now explores musical and vocal resonance as tools for self-healing, calmUNITY connection, planetary & inner alchemical restoration.
