In the name of Laszlo, the first person to ever buy something with cryptocurrency. He bought two pizzas for 10,000 BTC.
In his honor, in 2021, https://www.globalpizzaparty.xyz raised over 1,000,000 dollars through the sale of NFTs, and on May 22, they're again giving away free pizza to people all around the world — this year with support from sponsors such as BITGET and Unlock, among others.
In Prague, Czech Republic, Cross Club's café will be distributing the pizza. The first 50 people who, when ordering their pizza on May 22 at Cross, say the password "BITCOIN" will receive their pizza for free — because it’s already been paid for with crypto. Pizza distribution starts at 4:00 PM.
THIS YEAR WE HAVE A SPECIAL PROGRAM: In addition to pizza, you’ll also get to meet BITGET, there will be a KAHOOT quiz with prizes, and MOLOTOW PRAHA is announcing a graffiti-style design contest, with artists creating live artwork on site — on the theme of pizza and BTC.
