About Event

We’ve partnered with The Fore who rigorously and transparently screen thousands of small charities and social enterprises (turnover under £0.5m) to identify those with exceptional leadership, innovative ideas and cost-effective solutions. The Fore then provides a wraparound package of unrestricted, multi-year grant-funding (up to £30,000) training, skilled volunteers, peer-to-peer networks and impact measurement.

Each month, representatives from charities and non-profits funded by the Fore will come and share their missions and the specific challenges and problems they are facing. As they scale up, they need and want our help.

This is a unique chance for Brave Starts members to donate time, energy, expertise or insight to organisations we know are making a considerable, positive difference.

MEET THIS MONTH'S SPEAKERS & CHARITIES:

Kathryn Mills, CEO @ Delight Charity

Delight is a leading arts-based learning charity, using the transformative power of the arts to bring about sustained change for children affected by disadvantage. Their vision is for every child to have equal opportunity to thrive during their school years and beyond. Since 2014, they have positively impacted thousands of children through their innovative arts-based learning approach.

Anna Hodgson, CEO @ Clear Sky Children's Charity

Clear Sky is a leading provider of Play & Creative Arts Therapy services for schools, professionals and families. They use a holistic approach working with parents, teachers and other childcare practitioners; whilst keeping the child and play at the heart of everything they do.

Esther Malvern, Director @ Stiches in Time

Stitches in Time is a community arts and educational charity working with marginalised communities in Tower Hamlets. They use creative projects to bring people together, to address the needs and requests of the local community. They work with women, predominantly from migrant communities and/or elderly. The majority are isolated, on low-income and in receipt of benefits, and the organisation's work is designed to empower, influence change and provide advice, alongside building confidence, support networks, skills and opportunities.
