A personal resilience practice.

Why should we uncover our feelings? We will talk about why this is important for our personal sustainability.

This is NOT group therapy. It is an opportunity to dig in, ask questions within yourself and feel community connection with other concerned folx. Saying the quiet part out loud is empowering.

Climate Circles are a system of "clima-unity" here for everyone.

Coming together in a Circle like this, gives each participant a chance to simply listen to perspectives of others. How does the changing climate, and everything before it, during, and the aftermath of its wrath— how do each of us take this into our continuum of understanding the natural and built world.

An "EXPERIENCES" format of our popular Climate Belonging Circles

From Climate Mental health Network, the Climate Emotions Wheel, by Panu Pihkala is based upon his work at the University of Helsinki and his paper Toward A Taxonomy of Climate Emotions, 2022. It is not intended to be comprehensive or definitive, and it is not to scale; positive emotions are not typically identified in most research as often as other emotions on this scale. Our hope is that looking at this wheel will help you identify your own emotions and work with them.

Wheel of Cards.

A game of climate emotions happenstance.

Overview: Players sit in a circle, each with a hand of climate emotions cards from the Climate Emotions Wheel (pictured above). Players take turns passing cards, reflecting, and sharing stories related to the emotions they’re holding. The goal is connection. There is no winning other than the opportunity to share and deepen climate emotional literacy.

One hour of connection. The happenstance of our predicament is the challenge we face when we acknowledge— try to run away from-- or ignore our emotions about the poly and meta crisis going on in nature, biodiversity, and day-to-day living in the twenty-first century.

This game has been developed by Cascadia
Stack founder, Drew A. and Climate Circle Facilitator, Kate A.
