Startup Exchange Fall 2024 Fellowship Application
Startup Exchange (SX) is the Southeast's first and largest student-run incubator, where we aim to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at the university level and spread it beyond Silicon Valley.
The Startup Exchange Fellowship Program is a ten-week program that intends to accelerate an existing idea towards achieving product-market fit & scaling.
During SX Fellowship, founding teams gain exposure to and mastery in the iteration loop for their ideas in a swift, focused way. Teams are held accountable for: Building -> Launching -> Measuring -> Learning -> Repeating. Through this iterative process, teams undergo profound customer discovery and/or user feedback in order to refine and deepen their understanding of a problem space.
This application is for us to understand you’re one of the top builders on campus and to let us know how we can help you.
Our program offers special benefits to propel you through your iterative process. These include: guidance from experienced speakers & mentors, invitation to fellowship-exclusive events, funding, and a team that will help you find your first customer. This program will conclude with a pitch competition, where all teams will get the opportunity to pitch their startup to large VC firms and well known entrepreneurs in the area. In addition to automatic entry to interview at startup launch programs in Atlanta, winners will also receive some prize money.
We understand your team is working on a startup and things are meant to change. If you feel that changes are needed to be made on your application, feel free to email us at hello@startup.exchange.
All information filled out for this application will not be shared or used outside of the application review process.
The Application Process:
- The next page of this application contains a few videos we recommend all applicants view prior to starting their application
- The next step would be to sit down together as a team to fill out the application, it should take about 30 minutes.
- The final step would be an interview which would give your team a chance to share more about your team and vision. This interview is made, by no means to judge your startup idea, instead, it is to see if our program is the best fit for our applicants.
Notes:
- Each team only needs to fill out one application
- Each team must have 2-4 members, please email us for exceptions
- Teams must have at least one active undergrad GT student on the team to qualify for our program
- Upon review, in-person or virtual interviews will be scheduled in the week after the application deadline
- The application deadline is tentatively 11:59 PM on August 25th, 2024.
Talking to users and building product quickly are the core tenants of the Fellowship program.
To supplement the program, we would like your team to view review 3 videos, as they provide a masterclass on how to approach these two factors. We believe the content presented in the following videos alone are enough to propel an early startup team to iterate to success. Please take time to seriously internalize the information.
