🥣 Longplayer Live 🥣*
On Saturday 5th April 02025 Longplayer will be returning to the Roundhouse in Camden for the first time since 02009.
Longplayer started playing at 00:00 on the international dateline in the year 02000. It will complete its first cycle one thousand years later in 03000*.
The performance will last from 07:20 in the morning until 00:00 (midnight). Ticketholders can come and go throughout the day and that is exactly what we intend to do.
*We are using the 🥣 emoji because the live performance will use Tibetan singing bowls.
**In case you’re wondering: at Long Now London we write the year with an additional digit at the front to guard against the deca-millennium bug; 🦠 to encourage our minds towards further horizons, and also because it’s fun.

🚶➡️“By a Long Chalk” by Minimum Labyrinth 📜
By A Long Chalk is a new guided walk written specially to accompany and celebrate Longplayer Live. Robert Kingham of Minimum Labyrinth will run the wall three times throughout the course of the day, starting and ending at the Roundhouse in Chalk Farm. Places are limited so do please only book for one walk (I am assured by Robert that they will each be the same!). The walk will take 100 minutes, plus a halfway stop at a pub (for maybe a little more than 1,000 seconds). This project has been commissioned by and written in collaboration with Long Now London to coincide with Longplayer Live.

08:00 - 🍳 Go for breakfast nearby (all suggestions welcome).
11:00 - 🚶➡️ By a Long Chalk - first edition (2 hrs)
13:00 - 🍽️ Lunch at a nearby pub. Exact location TBC when numbers are confirmed.
14:30 - 🚶➡️By a Long Chalk - second edition (2 hrs)
18:00 - 🚶➡️By a Long Chalk - third edition (2 hrs)
19:00 - 🍻Gathering at a nearby pub for food & drink. Exact ocation TBC when numbers are confirmed.
23:30 - 🏁Be at the Roundhouse for the end of the performance.
