WIE Speaker Series with Mitch Neuhauser
Join us on February 19, 2025 for our next Speaker Series with Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon.
Mitch's journey began years ago at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he initially pursued a dream of becoming a veterinarian. However, one challenging semester of organic chemistry prompted a shift in focus, and he transitioned to communications—a decision that set the stage for a remarkable career in the motion picture theater industry.
Now, with 44 years of experience under his belt, Mitch has become a cornerstone of industry conventions. His career started in 1981 with Bob Sunshine, contributing to initiatives like Variety – The Children’s Charity of New York, The Motion Picture Pioneers, The Film Journal, and NATO of New York, wearing many hats as a jack of all trades. In 1984, Mitch entered the world of conventions when NATO of New Jersey approached Bob to transform a small gathering at Resorts International in Atlantic City—then called ShowEast—into a major industry event. From there, the convention world became Mitch's domain, helping launch Cinema Expo (now CineEurope), CineAsia, and ShoWest, which he helped manage starting in 2001.
In 2009, NATO invited Mitch to lead the creation of its flagship convention, CinemaCon. On September 14, 2009, he officially joined the team, dedicating the next 18 months to planning and developing what would become the industry's premier event. CinemaCon debuted on March 28, 2011, and Mitch has proudly overseen it ever since. Alongside his trusted associates Matt Pollock and Matt Shapiro, he continues to channel his love, passion, and dedication into CinemaCon, NATO, and the industry it serves.
As CinemaCon 2025 approaches, Mitch remains as enthusiastic as ever, ready to deliver another extraordinary event.
