​It's Not Okay To Build Superintelligence

​The risks from advanced artificial intelligence are legion, ranging from the erosion of governance to human extinction. AI is already capable enough to strategically lie to human overseers, pretend to be aligned with human values, try to avoid being shut down, and more. That is the least capable that it will ever be.

​This is a protest of the reckless development and deployment of advanced AI that OpenAI, Meta, and dozens of other entities have been engaged in--and will continue to engage in--unless they're stopped.

​Protesting at the capitol building requires sponsorship from a state official, which is still in development. If we are unable to obtain sponsorship, then we will meet at the gazebo in Wooldridge Park (900 Guadalupe St, Austin, TX 78701).
