Kachiri and Code
Kachiri and Code Hackathon is an annual event held in honor of World Programming Day organized at Kabarak University, aimed at celebrating the remarkable work done by programmers all around the world. This year's event will be our first and will be held at Kabarak University and will be open to techies from within the university and beyond.
The theme for this year's World Programming Day is "Empowering Innovation through Code," and Kachiri and Code seek to embody this by providing a platform for techies to share their experiences and knowledge, network with like-minded individuals, and showcase their innovative projects.
The goal is to bring together tech professionals from different fields to collaborate and create innovative solutions. The hackathon format will allow attendees to develop solutions that address one of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using modern technologies. The areas of interest include but not limited to:
Web Development
Mobile Development
AI/Machine Learning
Cloud Computing
Offline Solutions such as USSDs, SMS/Text Messaging
Before the hackathon begins, there will be a main session featuring keynotes from partners and a few speakers, including the GDSC Kabarak Team. The main session will set the tone for the event and provide inspiration and guidance for attendees.
