In this edition of Knit & Purl, we're learning to knit with a beginner friendly potholders project!
This workshop dives into the expansive art of knitting (& purling). We’ll begin by learning about the fibers and fabrics all around us, on us, and in the artworld. From there you will pick out the yarn for your project and embark on your knitting journey. We’ll guide you through the process, from casting on, to knitting, all the way to casting off with hands-on instruction along the way!
Knitting is a process that gets easier, faster, and more rewarding with every stitch of practice. Arrive at our workshop ready to learn amongst a community of other beginners and let’s give you the tools to start a new skill that has endless possibilities!
IMPORTANT NOTES: All tickets are final sale. We are a shoes-off, socks-required space; please bring your own socks or we have some for purchase for $1. Our events are geared towards connection through creativity; for many, you will be sitting around shared tables. Unfortunately, during ticketed events, we are unable to accommodate any children/babies under 5 years of age. Dogs are also not permitted at events. Upon entering our space you are consenting to photography/videography that may be used for promotional purposes.
