AI for Planetary Resilience: A Conversation on Regenerative Technology

While some of the world’s top technologists focus on optimizing ad clicks, climate-driven shocks are erasing trillions in value. It’s time to reframe what advanced technology is for.

Join us for a dynamic conversation with leaders in AI, data systems, and regeneration as we explore how AI/ML can power planetary-scale coordination and ecological resilience.

You’ll hear from:

  • Amanda Joy Ravenhill, co-founder of Project Drawdown and founder of TMRW, a new coordination platform for ecological thriving

  • Jessica Groopman, founder of the Regenerative Technology Project, strategist, and analyst of emerging tech

  • Jed Sundwall, Executive Director and global expert in open data and geospatial systems

We’ll also share an inside look at Work on Climate’s updated strategic direction, and connect you with a peer group of climate-conscious AI/ML professionals.

What You’ll Walk Away With

  • A clearer sense of how your technical skills can drive systems-level change

  • Insight into where AI/ML is heading in climate and regeneration

  • Actionable opportunities to get involved and make impact now

This event is for senior AI/ML professionals ready to move beyond optimization toward building a more just and sustainable world.

Speaker Bios:

Amanda Joy Ravenhill, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of TMRW and Co-Founder of Project Drawdown

Amanda Joy Ravenhill is a globally-raised regenerative entrepreneur, climate activist, systems thinker, and educator dedicated to our living Earth's regenerative metamorphosis. She is the co-founder and Co-CEO of TMRW, a planetary coordination tool and tech platform designed to catalyze a thriving resilient future for all life on earth. She previously held the role of Executive Director of the Buckminster Fuller Institute and Co-Founder and Executive Director of Project Drawdown.

She holds an MBA from and was faculty at Presidio Graduate School. She also holds a Permaculture Design Certificate from Earth Activists Training. She is deeply inspired by the life of Buckminster Fuller and his goal to "make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest possible time through spontaneous cooperation without ecological offense or disadvantage to anyone".

Jed Sundwall, Executive Director at Radiant Earth:

Jed has spent his career working at the intersection of data, product development, cloud computing, economics, and policy. He has helped create data sharing best practices that have been adopted worldwide by NASA, USGS, Google, Microsoft and other institutions around the world. He is a lecturer at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, a technical fellow at the Taylor Geospatial Engine, and is a technical advisor to Flickr Foundation, PLACE, and the Center for Open Data Enterprise. A proud student of the humanities, he uses his “spare time” to produce Techs on Texts, a podcast about the intersection of literature and technology. He is fluent in Spanish, pretty good at Portuguese, and can passably order food in German.

Jessica Groopman, Founder at the Regenerative Technology Project

Jessica Groopman is the founder of The Regenerative Technology Project, a platform to encourage and accelerate the Tech industry’s shift towards supporting societal and ecological health. A technology industry analyst, author, and speaker, she studies the intersection of emerging technologies and regeneration, and advises forward-thinking leaders globally on disruptive “horizon 3” innovations. She has published over 50 reports on a wide range of emerging technologies and implications across culture, business, economics, and environment. Jessica was also included in Onalytica’s list of the 100 Most Influential Thought Leaders on the Internet of Things and Top Women in AI Ethics, and recently co-authored a book about converging trends called The Fast Future Blur

Prior, she founded research firm, Kaleido Insights, and was formerly principal analyst at Tractica, Harbor Research, and Altimeter Group, later serving as Digital Strategy & Innovation Director, now Senior Innovation Advisor with impact consultancy, Intentional Futures. Jessica is also a distinguished fellow at RegenIntel, ambassador at Capital Institute, faculty at Fast Future Fundamentals, part of the Nexxworks’ collective of futurists, and serves on CapGemini’s Net Positive Advisory Board.
