Embracing Neurodiversity: Lessons Learned from Neurodivergent Founders - FSO Speaker Series
About
At Figuring Shit Out, we put on events for Founders who don't normally go to events. We didn't believe Singapore needed another panel, fireside chat or Q&A so we did the radical step of asking speakers to sit down ahead of time and think about what they wanted to say. Beyond palatable food & hopefully more than palatable networking, why schlep across town to sit in a cramped room for an hour: Perspective!
All of our speakers have come from fascinating career backgrounds that have caused them to look at the world and think about problems in uniquely insightful ways. From a Founder Coach who see you avoiding your most important problem stemming from emotional barriers, an ex-Art Dealer, now Investor Relations on the psychology of million dollar transactions when it comes to fundraising and IPOs, a COO who helps neurodiverse founders design systems that work with their brain... Each talk provides a unique lens on the problems facing startups that Founders can absorb to provide a new toolkit of insights for their own founder journey.
Topic
A perspective I hold that often gets overlooked: Successful neurodivergent founders don’t just “overcome” challenges; they design systems that fit their brains and their businesses. As a fractional COO working with neurodivergent founders, I’ve witnessed how our brains think differently. Not just in problem-solving but in how we structure and run our businesses. Too often, people think neurodiversity is about making adjustments to "fit in." But what if we embraced it as a strength to create more adaptive, efficient, and innovative business structures? This talk is about rethinking systems on personal, team and organizational level to make businesses sustainable.
