About Event

Europe is in a hard-tech renaissance: autonomous construction, AI-designed proteins, fusion power, lunar logistics. Meanwhile, you just spent an entire sprint renaming variables so an ad funnel A/B test could bump CTR by 0.04 %.

While all the important problems are in the frontiers of energy, defense, construction, food, medicine, transport, space, robotics and AI, our most talented people are tempted to spend their careers as glorified information plumbers working on yet another SaaS. We think we can do better.

Luckily, all these new startups are built around software first. It’s never been a better time for software engineers to touch the world of atoms and build something real.

This event is for software engineers who are curious about the world of hard tech, and what a transition from a software only company to a hard tech company looks like. Whether you’re a front-end, full stack, DevOps or ML engineer – there are relevant roles at almost any hard tech company today.

We’ll specifically feature founders and engineers who came from the software world and moved to the real world. This event will feature speakers from Monumental, building autonomous construction robots, and Cradle, building better proteins through AI.
