Hui #2: TribalDAOs = Indigenous Economic Sovereignty.

​After our April KickOff meeting, we are excited to invite you to Hui #2: TribalDAOs = Indigenous Economic Sovereignty.

This series brings together a diverse group of experts (yes that means YOU!) to develop a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO) blueprint that empowers Māori communities with self-governance, data sovereignty, and economic autonomy.

​Hui #2 is for those who joined us April and for anyone new to the project interested in learning more and contributing. We’ll dive into:

• ​Self Sovereign, Decentralised Technology and Mana Motuhake (self determination, independence and control over ones destiny).

• ​The challenges communities face with digital tools, governance, and data sovereignty

• ​How we can co-design solutions that enable economic and political independence

• ​The vision of TribalDAOs and how you can be involved

​Led by Mātou Collective, we are a kaupapa Māori Technology organisation grounded in Te Ao Māori. We aim to develop digital infrastructure that supports epistemic justice, facilitates self-determination, and enhances the well-being of Māori and Indigenous communities.

​We believe that TribalDAOs can become a powerful tool for economic sovereignty and data ownership, and we look forward to collaborating with you on this meaningful work.
