​About the Speaker

​Dr. Ryan Chou
Assistant Professor, Shu-Zen Junior College of Medicine and Management, Taiwan

​Dr. Ryan Chou is an accomplished scholar in the field of diagnostic radiography and medical imaging, specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) metal artifact reduction techniques and the innovative application of Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality in medical imaging. He holds a Ph.D. in Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences from Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

​Currently an Assistant Professor at Shu-Zen Junior College of Medicine and Management, Dr. Chou is dedicated to teaching and research in radiographic technology and medical imaging. His research interests include the use of AI for automatic organ recognition, the optimization of imaging techniques, and the integration of Virtual Reality (VR) into radiography education. His academic work has been published in several international SCI journals, such as Technology and Health Care and Computer-Assisted Surgery.

​Furthermore, Dr. Chou has experience mentoring students in academic writing. Each year, he supervises student research projects that leverage AI, culminating in successful presentations at international conferences. He is highly proficient with a wide variety of AI tools for academic writing and research.
