About Event

Ifeoma Veronica Nwabufo is a PhD student at the Hertie Institute for AI in Brain Health in Tübingen, Germany, and a scholar with the International Max Planck Research School for Intelligent Systems (IMPRS-IS). Her research focuses on self-supervised learning methods for understanding medical images, building on her earlier work on visualizing medical data using the t-SimCNE technique.

Prior to her PhD, Ifeoma was a Research Fellow at the Hertie Institute, funded by the Cluster of Excellence in Machine Learning at the University of Tübingen. She holds two Master’s degrees—one in Machine Intelligence from the African Masters of Machine Intelligence (AMMI) program, sponsored by Facebook and Google, and another in Mathematical Sciences from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), where she studied computational learning theory.
