
Fundamentals of Movement & Strength Training
Join us for a transformative strength clinic & workout led by an experienced fitness coach, Renee Dunn. After finding strength and balance through training and coaching, she has dedicated her training career to helping others feel strong and confident in their bodies.
The workshop will cover essential movement patterns—squats, hinges, planks, and presses—providing individualized feedback and tips to improve form and prevent common mistakes. Whether you're new to strength training or an experienced lifter, this all-levels workshop is designed to help you build a safe, effective workout routine.
After the informational portion of the workshop, we'll break a sweat with a 20-30 minute strength-focused workout.
Then we'll cool down by heading to the park nearby for some snacking & chatting outside. We'll include a discussion on building personalized training programs and debunking common fitness myths.
This is a great chance to gain confidence in the gym, improve your technique, and connect with others on their fitness journey. Time to learn, grow, and get stronger—inside and out!
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
Mini Movement Clinic on Key Movement Patterns & Individual Feedback: Lessons from Renee Dunn on squats, hinges, planks, and presses, with a focus on proper form and technique. Hands-on instruction to refine your form, address common flaws, and gain confidence in essential exercise.
Strength-Based Workout: Time to break a sweat! After the clinic, participate in a 20-30 minute strength-focused workout incorporating the techniques you’ve learned
Park Picnic Cooldown with Snacks & Drinks: Walk next door to stretch & cooldown and enjoy snacks from women-owned businesses to refuel post-workout.
WHAT TO BRING:
Comfortable Workout Attire: Wear clothing that allows you to move freely during the clinic and workout.
Water Bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the session.
Notebook & Pen (Optional): For jotting down tips and personalized feedback during the clinic.

Location: The workshop will be held at Phit Pro Gym, a private gym & nearby park in Santa Monica, CA. Exact address will be shared with registered attendees.
About Renee Dunn:
With over 13 years of experience in the fitness industry and a nearly 20-year personal fitness journey, Renee Dunn is passionate about helping others feel strong in their bodies. Specializing in strength training and coaching, she has worked as a lead trainer in the DC area and now focuses on one-on-one coaching in LA, both virtually and in person. Her credentials include USA Weightlifting L1, SFG 1 (Kettlebell), SFL (Barbell), and Registered Yoga Teacher 200 HR.
