βIn this hands-on workshop, participants will dive into the world of neurotechnology using BrainFlow and OpenBCI hardware. The session will cover the setup of the OpenBCI board, capturing brainwave data, and processing signals through BrainFlow's API. Participants will also learn fundamental signal analysis techniques and explore potential applications for brain-computer interfaces. By the end, attendees will gain practical skills to work with brain data and apply it in real-world neurotechnology projects.
βSpeaker: Harrison Fah
βHarrison is an M.Sc. Computing Science student at the University of Alberta, specializing in neurotechnology and machine learning applications in neuroscience. Harrisonβs research focuses on identifying risk and protective factors for Alzheimer's Disease using machine learning techniques. He also leads innovative projects such as Hecatron, a brain-controlled prosthetic hand, and NeuroScribe, a hands-free text generation tool for individuals with paralysis.
