About Event

In the same style of Bookclub, but movies! We will be commencing monthly movie afternoons where we show a movie on the topics of sexuality, kink or different relationship styles and discuss it afterwards!

Our first movie is Babygirl (2024) starring Nicole Kidman & Antonio Banderas. This movie has been creating many divisive conversations so it's sure to make for an interesting chat.

About the film

"Babygirl" (2024) is an American erotic thriller directed by Halina Reijn, starring Nicole Kidman as Romy Mathis, a high-powered CEO of a New York tech firm. Dissatisfied with her marriage to theater director Jacob (Antonio Banderas), Romy embarks on a clandestine affair with Samuel (Harris Dickinson), a much younger intern at her company. Their intense relationship explores complex themes of power dynamics, desire, and societal taboos, ultimately leading Romy to confront the potential consequences on her career and family.
