Welcome to the wed edition of the "Health/Bio Coffee Club" event series! This special in-person collab with Joyce A Tan & Partners- will focus on the topic of: "Information protection - looking at trade secrets, confidentiality obligations and IP enforcement" By guest speaker Jeffrey Lim.

Coffee Club in SG x Joyce A Tan is an informal collaboration to discuss specific legal topics pertaining to healthcare / life sciences startups . It's free and open to all; anyone can drop by and network.

- 15 Jan: Elements of a founder's agreement and shareholders' agreement - things to consider

-7 May: Deep-dive into the elements of an investment agreement and how to manage negotiations

-16 July: Patent strategy - steps to consider in enforcing patent protection

Guest Speaker:
Jeffrey specializes in intellectual property, data protection, cybersecurity, data governance, and artificial intelligence, and he works with global big tech organisations, multinational corporations and companies in healthcare, financial services, e-commerce, and technology platforms. He has also advised foreign governments on data protection and security laws. Jeffrey helped develop the Singapore Computer Society’s (“SCS”) AI Ethics Body of Knowledge (“BOK”) and its second edition as its chief reviewer. He also help set up the world’s first AI Ethics professional certification in collaboration with SCS and IMDA. He is an honorary legal advisor to the Singapore Computer Society. He formerly chaired the Singapore Law Society Cybersecurity and Data Protection Committee and remains an active committee member. He has also co-authored numerous articles include for the Singapore PDPC and has published articles on artificial intelligence, data privacy, data exchanges and intellectual property.

Vaibhav Joshi (VJ) is the resident healthcare data expert and cyber practitioner. He is also a medical doctor with over two decades of experience ranging from frontline A&E medicine to several Chief Data Officer roles in healthcare and life sciences companies, across the globe. Based upon his previous experience in management consultancy and his MBA, he now delivers tech advisory services.
