About Event

International Women's Day was born from protests demanding fair wages, reasonable hours, and the right to both work and raise families.

Now in 2025, as companies slash DEI programs, mandate office returns, and cut parental leave, that fighting spirit is needed more than ever.

Join fellow working parents to redefine what matters in our own lives, even as corporations tell us that profits matter more than people, productivity matters more than presence, and business needs matter more than family needs.

Who Should Join

  • You're watching these corporate rollbacks with a mix of anger and anxiety

  • You're frustrated watching hard-won workplace progress slip away while juggling career and family

  • You want to connect with other working parents who refuse to accept this as the new normal

What We'll Cover

  • Real talk about corporate rollbacks and what's at stake for working parents

  • Small group discussions to uncover what matters most to us (and what we're willing to fight for)

  • Practical strategies to protect what matters from fellow Rule Breakers

Vibe

This isn't a rah-rah women's empowerment session or corporate networking event. With hard-won progress being rolled back weekly, we need real talk about what's happening, honest discussions about what matters to us, and practical ways forward.

Expect candid conversations, supportive energy, and zero sugarcoating about the challenges ahead.

Your Host, Jess 👋

After years in consulting, banking, and tech startups, I got tired of rules that said success means prioritizing profits over people, sacrificing family time for career advancement, and measuring worth through status and money. Now I run Rule Breaker, challenging the idea that we must choose between meaningful work and being present for our families. I create spaces for working parents to write their own rules and find others who believe there's a better way forward
