Abbe Land has four decades of civic and non-profit leadership, with an emphasis on improving the lives of women and girls. Serving as Mayor of West Hollywood five times, she worked across party lines to implement innovative policies on public safety, housing, economic development, and environmental sustainability. She played a key role in passing landmark gun control legislation, expanding affordable housing, and promoting green building initiatives. As Executive Director of the Los Angeles County Women and Girls Initiative, she led efforts to improve countywide policies and programs to ensure fairness and equity for all residents. At The Saban Free Clinic, she significantly expanded healthcare access, tripling the budget and opening new clinics to serve low-income populations. Under her leadership, The Trevor Project became a national leader in crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ youth, launching digital support programs and advancing public policy. In recognition of her contributions, Abbe has received numerous leadership awards, including the National LGBTQ Task Force Leadership Excellence Award, the 28th Congressional District Woman of the Year Award, the Southern California Leadership Network Visionary Award, and the West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation Lifetime Achievement Award. Through her work with various boards and advocacy groups, Abbe continues to build coalitions and drive meaningful policy changes that benefit diverse communities.
Stacy D. Phillips is a powerhouse in both the legal and philanthropic worlds, widely recognized for her leadership, advocacy, and commitment to uplifting others. As one of the nation’s top family law attorneys, she has successfully guided high-profile clients—including celebrities, business moguls, and sports figures—through complex divorces, custody battles, and domestic violence matters. But her impact goes far beyond the courtroom. As Chair of Public Counsel, the largest nonprofit law firm in the U.S., she has championed access to justice for underserved communities, helping to shape policy and expand vital legal services. A passionate philanthropist, Stacy founded the “Adopt-A-Center Program,” which has provided crucial funding, mentorship, and visibility to LA-based charities for over 26 years. Her commitment to empowering women led to the creation of her firm’s Women’s Leadership Summit, now a premier event in its ninth year. She also played a pivotal role in drafting California Senate Bill 924, extending legal protections for domestic violence survivors. Mayor Elen Asatryan, Glendale's first Armenian-American woman, first immigrant woman, and youngest woman to serve as both City Council member and Mayor, brings over 24 years of experience in community organizing, advocacy, and public policy. Elected to the City Council in 2022, her leadership is informed by her deep commitment to diversity and civic engagement. As an activist, she has spearheaded initiatives such as voter registration drives that resulted in over 50,000 new voters in Los Angeles County and successfully advocated for the inclusion of Armenian Genocide education in California schools. Asatryan founded The Stark Group, a public affairs consulting firm, and has worked tirelessly on campaigns that empower underrepresented communities, including the Glendale Domestic Violence Task Force. Known for her unifying leadership style, she prioritizes accessibility and inclusion, ensuring that all voices, especially marginalized groups, are heard. Fiona Ma, California’s 34th State Treasurer, made history in 2018 by receiving the most votes of any candidate for Treasurer in the state’s history. As the first woman of color and the first Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to hold the position, Ma has become a trailblazer in state finance. Under her leadership, the Treasurer's office manages over $3 trillion in payments annually and oversees a $124 billion investment portfolio. Ma has spearheaded pivotal initiatives, including efforts to promote clean energy and advanced transportation, and has played a vital role in financing infrastructure projects that benefit schools, healthcare, and public facilities across the state. A champion for fiscal responsibility, she refinanced $6.2 billion of debt in 2020, generating $1.8 billion in savings for California taxpayers. As a Director of Dealflow and Ecosystem Creation at LG NOVA, Alicia has led the development of a global pipeline of 5,000+ startups and 40 partners, spearheading strategic collaborations that have facilitated over $300M in investments and $50M+ in capital raises.
