​About the speakers

​Vlad Cazacu is an ex-VC investor and syndicator having led investments in 11 companies, a published author on VC, and a 40x angel investor. Vlad's investing experience spans 4 firms, most recently as a Senior Investor with Fuel Venture Capital in Miami, FL investing in Seed to Series B technology companies focusing on enterprise software. Previously, he was a Principal at Assure Syndicates, a group of High Net Worth Individuals and Family Offices focusing on early-stage private equity deals from Pre-Seed to Series B. While at Assure, he sourced and led the investment in 11 companies as well as acted as an exclusive advisor to 5 private equity transactions using SPVs. At the time of departure, he was co-managing an 8-figure AUM portfolio.

​Mark Bugas is a repeat founder with B2B sales and go-to-market expertise, having brought 5 different products to market. He was an early hire at Triptease, where he spearheaded the North American sales strategy, delivering millions in annual recurring revenue as an individual contributor and sales leader. He spent two-and-a-half years in venture capital investing roles, including with the UVA Seed Fund, Sands Capital Ventures, and Fuel Venture Capital, where he met Vlad.
