About Event

Join us Saturday June 14th 1pm-4pm at the Bedford Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library for a Letter Writing to political prisoner Rodney Hinton Jr. to commemorate Father’s Day. We are watching in real time as the repressive apparatus of police violence has simultaneously stripped a son from his father, and freedom from a Black man.

Rodney Hinton did what many of us wish we could do when the evils of US capitalism-imperialism strikes us: strike back.

A Black youth had his future torn away from him and his father could have his torn from him too for avenging his son.

We call on all Black fathers and the Black community to come together this Father’s Day and let Rodney Hinton Jr know he isn’t alone. More so, protect our Black youth, and do whatever it takes to preserve our nation.

Any community members with family locked up come through and we will send out your letters to them for you!

Free entry for all Black and Brown community members, donations are suggested for allies. All donations will be put on RHJ’s books. (Receipts provided).

Masks are required/provided and Light refreshments will be served.
