About Event

The District of Columbia's SFA program aims to bring the benefits of locally generated solar energy to the District's low-to-moderate-income households. SFA was established in 2016 by the DC Renewable Portfolio Standard Expansion Amendment Act. Since then, 41 MWs of solar have been installed and close to 10,000 households have signed up to save money on their electricity bill. Last year, the DC Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) received a $62.45M grant from the EPA's Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund to expand the program.

DOEE - together with partners DC Green Bank, City First Enterprises, the DC Sustainable Energy Utility, Groundswell, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the Green and Healthy Homes Initiative and Interfaith Power and Light of the DMV - invites the public to meet the SFA team and learn about the new offerings under the expanded program.

After a brief panel presentation from the team at the DOEE offices in NoMa, we will move across the street to a rooftop bar at the Hilton Garden Inn for a meet-and-greet networking event with food and drinks available for purchase.
