BITSians and Friends,

Join the BITSAA Silicon Valley Chapter for an exclusive fireside chat: From Building Products to Funding Them: Transitioning from Engineering to Venture Capital.

We’ll explore how engineering and product leadership skills translate into venture investing — and what it takes to move from building companies to backing them.

Featuring:

  • Ashmeet Sidana — Founder and Chief Engineer at Engineering Capital

  • Moderated by Aryan Pareek — Startup Team, BITSAA Silicon Valley

Ashmeet will share lessons from his journey — from building VMware’s flagship ESX Server product to founding Engineering Capital, where he backs technical founders at the seed stage.

About Ashmeet Sidana:
Ashmeet Sidana is the Founder and Chief Engineer of Engineering Capital, a venture firm specializing in seed investments in software companies with deep technical insights. Previously, he led product management at VMware and helped build iconic products at Silicon Graphics. His investments include Azure (AZRE), Rubrik (RBRK), SignalFx (acquired by Splunk), and Tubi.tv (acquired by FOX).
