About Event

Ask anyone who participated in the North Beach version of this scavenger hunt last year and they'll tell you this is an incredibly well designed scavenger hunt that was a blast last year. It that will have you teaming up, running around, answering riddles, making bookmarks and racing against other teams to get to the right places the fastest.

This scavenger hunt was designed by Handstand, the creators of SF's most epic annual city-wide scavenger hunt.

Note - the registration fee covers Handstand's fee for designing and providing this experience to us.

What to expect:

Everyone will be split up into teams of 4-6 people and placed in an app-guided scavenger hunt through one of SF's famous neighborhoods: The Mission. The app will give you a series of puzzles, riddles and challenges where the answer is always a different location in the neighborhood. Once you go to the neighborhood, the app's geo tracking feature will confirm whether or not you're in the correct place, and give you points for the speed with which you solve the challenges. The team that solves the challenges fastest wins.

We'll meet at 10AM on the morning of the experience (will update with exact location later- Dolores Park as a placeholder for now) where your first challenge will be revealed. This will likely take 2-3 hours so clear your schedule accordingly. If people want to get brunch with their teams afterwards I can also assign each team to different brunch places nearby, for 1pm or so.

**Handstand requires a $1000 minimum, so I'm aiming to reach 20 heads, all paying $50 each. The deadline for reaching the $1000 amount and having 20 people join is May 7th. If we do not get 20 people by then, we will cancel the event and refund everyone**

If more than 20 people sign up, we can refund the overpaid amount according to the final headcount. I'll start by keeping it members only to start with, and open it up on May 1st to friends of members if we need more people still. I'll reach out to everyone and ask if there's any preference for teammates, keep in mind groups will be evenly split to either 4, 5, or 6 per group, depending on the final headcount.
