Translating Community Voices into Actionable Insights with AI
We are excited to present the next in our series of AI & Democracy webinars - this time featuring Fora, an AI-supported sense-making platform developed by Cortico and the MIT Centre for Constructive Communication (MIT CCC).
Named after the plural of forum, Fora is a community-powered, human-led and AI-supported digital approach to making sense of shared experiences. Find out how Fora makes it easier to amplify real voices and share the insights generated in deliberative forums, both large and small.
Earlier this year, the MIT CCC and DemocracyNext announced the launch of a two-year pop-up lab to harness powerful technologies to create positive, constructive, human-led systems shaped by the proven model of Citizens' Assemblies worldwide. In this session, you will learn about the tech-enhanced citizens' assembly model and discuss how it might apply to other forms of deliberative democracy and democratic innovation.
Expect an interactive session, starting in small breakout groups so you can try out the technology for yourself!
Ethan Walker is the Manager of Programs and Partnerships (Government) at Cortico. Since joining in June 2023, he has been managing complex, multi-phase conversation projects with government partners. Prior to this, Ethan worked as a Regional Manager at the American Red Cross for six years.

About your hosts:
The Democracy Network are a network of people and organisations working on issues of power, democracy and voice throughout the UK, aiming to connect and work with others to build a stronger democracy fit for the 21st century. We do this through connecting people and supporting collaboration, increasing knowledge, skills and resources, and coordinating influencing strategies and action. Join the network here!
The ANTIPARTY Collective is a pro-democracy movement borne from the partygate scandal, looking to transcend the two-party system with collective intelligence for systems change.
