โThis workshop will offer a comprehensive understanding of the various forms of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. You'll gain insights into how each type of IP functions, when and why they are essential for protecting your innovations, and how to navigate the legal landscape. Additionally, we'll discuss common IP pitfalls that businesses and individuals should be aware of and provide practical guidance on how to avoid them. By the end of the session, you will also learn how to develop a proactive IP strategy tailored to safeguarding your unique creations and ideas.
โSpeaker: Dr. Suzanne Sjovoldย
โDr. Sjovold is an Intellectual Property expert with 15 years of experience, specializing in patent and trademark law. With a background in Neuroscience and a law degree from the University of Alberta, she bridges the gap between science and law.
