int/a meetup #7: the antidebate
Come along to the seventh integral altruism meetup! This time we're going to try running an antidebate!
An antidebate is a process designed to foster collective inquiry and understanding rather than adversarial argument. It aims to counteract polarization by encouraging participants to engage with complexity, nuance, and empathy, moving beyond the binary nature of traditional debates.
The exact topic of debate is yet to be decided, but it will be on the role of systems change in EA.
Doors open from 4pm. The antidebate will start at 5, please arrive before then! At around 6:30-7 there'll be time for hanging out & potluck.
If you'd like to stick around for the potluck, please bring some food to contribute (doesn't have to be fancy - just grabbing something from Tesco is fine too!). If possible please keep it vegan 🙏
