🌱Join us for an in-person panel conversation at PNW Climate Week, where leaders from various sectors, including business, technology, and community advocacy, converge to share their unique perspectives and innovative solutions for tackling climate anxiety and inspiring meaningful change in both personal and professional spheres.
Our panelists will discuss topics such as community mobilization, tech innovation, creative art, and climate resiliency and adaptation as potential avenues to address climate anxiety.

Ryan Rad - Northeastern University, Assistant professor | Leading research at AIMES (AI for Monitoring Earth and Sustainability) Lab, focusing on the intersection of computer vision and AI/ML with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability.
Yvonne Coady - Northeastern University, Visiting Professor from University of Victoria | Research interests include mixed reality systems, citizen science, and advancing modularity in software for Earth Observation and sustainable urban planning.
Piper Stump - Student Energy, Global Community Manager | Driving youth-led sustainable energy initiatives.
Sayemin Naheen (She/they) - Solastalgia, Co-Founder | Solastalgia is a grassroots initiative that aims to normalize eco-anxiety and other eco-emotions through our zine and creative arts-based events.
🌟 Moderator:
Michelle Kaczmarek - Michelle is a research and program manager with expertise in community-based climate initiatives, information policy, and the circular economy. Her PhD research at UBC’s School of Information explored the efforts and aspirations of those participating in community-based repair groups in Metro Vancouver. With the Share Reuse Repair Initiative, Michelle’s works to bring together government, businesses, and community organisations to seek equitable paths toward more circular ways of living.
