Women in Climate/Energy Meetup - JULY 2025
This is a monthly virtual (via zoom) meetup for women who work in, or want to work in, climate and the energy transition.
We will use a Lean Coffee format, where we co-create the agenda real-time and get through the topics that are most interesting to the group. Each month we'll pick an industry learning theme and a jobs related theme to focus on.

Guest: Sumreen Rattan is a co-founder and COO at Moment Energy, a climate/energy company that is creating sustainable energy storage systems by repurposing retired electric vehicle batteries. At Moment Energy, Sumreen manages supply chain and operations and is responsible for establishing relationships with global auto manufacturers. Sumreen is a Mechatronics Systems Engineer & has worked at Apple, Archiact, and PNI Digital Media. Recently, Sumreen was announced as one of Forbes 30 Under 30 in Energy.

Guest: Alex Young is a Senior Associate on the Frontier Technology team at Energy Impact Partners (EIP), a global investment firm dedicated to accelerating the energy transition. At EIP, Alex focuses on technical diligence and thesis development, applying a deep technical lens to evaluate technologies and companies with significant decarbonization potential.Prior to joining EIP, Alex led technoeconomic analysis (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) at Twelve, a climate tech startup pioneering low-temperature electrochemical conversion of carbon dioxide into fuels and chemicals. She also previously worked as an engineer at Antora Energy. Alex holds a degree in Chemical Engineering.
