About Event

Join us for the first Budget Reconciliation Workshop, where we'll review proposals across all budget categories to identify which to include in the first proposed Cardano Budget. This workshop will start with prioritization of the proposals based on feedback from DReps thus far, debate and agree on proposals to include in each category, and finalize the budget by balancing across all categories and within the Net Change Limit.  These discussions may result in new questions or change requests for vendors.  Vendors are encouraged to attend and watch for change requests on your proposal.

Agenda (subject to change)

April 26:  Review soft prioritization of proposals from Intersect.  Review proposals in 3 of the 5 categories (Marketing & Innovation, Governance, Research, Core, No Category). Identify concrete movement of proposals in/out of the budget, and change requests for vendors.

April 27:  Review proposals in 2 of the 5 categories. Identify concrete movement of proposals in/out of the budget, and change requests for vendors.  This generates the list of proposals to include in the candidate budget.

April 28:  Review the candidate budget.  Identify concrete movement of proposals in/out of the budget to adjust resources across categories, and to fit within the Net Change Limit.  Arrive at the first set of proposals to go into a budget info action.  Proposals that did not make it in this round can continue to the 2nd reconciliation workshop on May 3-4.

This workshop is designed to facilitate meaningful discussion with up to 100 DReps and no limit to committee members or vendors who will be observers unless called upon by the DReps. We've allocated specific roles accordingly:

DReps: Registered DReps are crucial for this process. Please register as a DRep and provide your DRep ID for verification.

Experts/SMEs: Subject Matter Experts are invited to provide specialized insights if asked by the DReps and are otherwise observers.

Vendors: Budget proposal providers are essential for clarifying their submissions if asked by the DReps

If DRep registration exceeds 100, we will select the top 40 registrants by stake as of Epoch 550 (Apr 4), 40: Top 40 registrants by # delegators as of Epoch 550 (Apr 4), 3 seats per continent.

All others will be placed on a waitlist and notified of their status.

Observers are welcome to follow the proceedings via a livestream here.
