About Event

Understanding your term sheet is just as important as building your product. In this session, we’ll break down the key term sheet concepts every founder should know—before signing a contract.

We're excited to be joined by Cody Gaynor (Senior Associate, Wilson Sonsini).

About the Speakers:

Cody Gaynor is a senior associate in the Palo Alto office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he practices corporate and securities law. Cody represents technology and cleantech companies at all stages of development, with a particular focus on late-stage private companies and capital markets transactions. He regularly advises companies on general corporate and governance matters and frequently represents companies, venture funds, and strategic investors in venture financings.

Joyce Chen leads VC and law firm partnerships at Mercury and is building out Mercury's fund banking and emerging manager practice. Prior to Mercury, she was an investor at OpenView Ventures and led global expansion at Venture Cafe Global Institute and the MIT Technology Review and Enterprise Forum. She's had the pleasure of working with founders on all continents except Antarctica.

Each expert session offers a chance for founders to decide on the questions asked in the fireside chat. You can submit your question through your RSVP.

The host will choose from the submitted questions for an close-knit Q&A over Zoom.
