This SBIR+STTR Workshop on Budget Management and Reporting is designed to help small businesses navigate the financial aspects of securing and managing federal funding through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
The workshop will cover essential topics, including budget development, cost allocation, allowable expenses, and how to maintain compliance with federal financial reporting requirements. Participants will learn best practices for managing grant funds, understanding financial documentation, and avoiding common pitfalls in budgeting and reporting, ensuring successful and efficient grant management. This session is ideal for current and prospective SBIR/STTR applicants seeking to refine their financial strategies and meet the rigorous standards of these programs.

Michael has extensive experience with the Small Business Innovation Research and Small business Technology Transfer Research (SBIR/STTR) program and has assisted numerous small businesses with Phase I & Phase II grants submissions. He has also completed several Train the Trainer courses including: Helping Potential SBIRSTTR Applicants and Fraud, Waste and Abuse Prevention.
