Humans are always divided between self-preservation and becoming one with their community. What does this mean for women working in a traditionally “masculine” industry - where mental health issues are at a peak? Finding a balance between maintaining our individual and cultural identity is key to wellness and resilience.
This session will be led by a brown-skinned man reflecting on his journey of losing, and eventually reclaiming, his sense of self while living in the West. He will include two women leaders who bring their own perspectives on navigating identity in traditionally male-dominated and cross-cultural environments.
Rather than a presentation, this will be a candid, reflective conversation—inviting the audience to consider their own experiences of identity and belonging.
