David Wu, Partner at Acorn Pacific Ventures,  will join us in Singapore on May 28 to share exclusive insights from Silicon Valley. He will discuss Acorn Pacific Ventures’ latest investment focus, outlook on Southeast Asia’s venture landscape, and the key principles of investment that remain unchanged even in turbulent times.

David Wu brings over two decades of cross-border entrepreneurship and investment experience spanning Silicon Valley, Taiwan, and Asia. He has held leadership roles at major global IT firms, international professional sports organizations, and several Web1, Web2, and Web3 startups, successfully driving multiple ventures and exits.

David holds a Master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University and has been recognized by Global Views Monthly as one of the Top 100 Global Chinese Influencers. He is also a renowned columnist and startup ecosystem thought leader, active across Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and Silicon Valley.

In the Workshop session, David Wu will guide participants through practical application of the EIOFS framework — a model identifying critical growth indicators at various early stages of startup development, including market validation, revenue growth, user retention, gross margin, and profitability.

Through real-world startup cases, David will demonstrate how to apply EIOFS to assess early-stage growth potential and scalability, giving participants hands-on practice in startup evaluation.

Additionally, participants will get a firsthand look at startup teams from Taiwan’s AI sector, gaining insights into the latest technologies and innovations shaping the next phase of the global AI-driven economy.

David is a distinguished venture capitalist and entrepreneur with extensive cross-border experience spanning Silicon Valley, Taiwan, and Asia.

His background includes leadership roles at global IT firms, professional sports organizations, and multiple successful exits across Web1, Web2, and Web3 sectors. He holds a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University and has been recognized as a Top 100 Influential Person by Global Views Monthly. David is also a columnist and frequent speaker on topics related to innovation, cross-border investments, and startup ecosystems.

Amos Huang|Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Sustainable Impact Capital (SIC)

Amos Huang is a serial entrepreneur with a focus on the development of the internet industry and global trends. He founded Viscovery, an image recognition technology company, which secured over NT$500 million in investment. He also co-founded PezzaLoan, a fintech company dedicated to providing accessible financing solutions for startups from a financial inclusion perspective.

In addition, Amos is an active member of several renowned organizations, including AAMA and 36Kr Beijing. He has published more than six international academic papers, holds six domestic and international R&D patents, and is a recipient of the Pan Wen-Yuan Foundation Young Researcher Innovation Award.
