Meet Caleb Matthews – Therapist, Advocate, and Community Leader

Caleb Matthews is a dedicated therapist and passionate community advocate based in Austin, Texas. With a deep commitment to giving back, Caleb serves as the Board President of The Human Empathy Project, a nonprofit organization working to foster compassionate dialogue around Christian faith, gender, and sexual diversity.

He is also the founder and facilitator of What’s My Therapist Reading?—a free, ongoing book club that equips mental health professionals with the latest in research and best practices. In addition, Caleb offers therapy through the Flatwater Foundation, providing mental health support to individuals and families affected by cancer.

Caleb's trauma work includes receiving a scholarship through Austin Police Department Victim Services to participate in the EMDR Project, where he provided therapy to survivors of sexual assault. He is now an EMDRIA-Certified EMDR therapist, specializing in evidence-based care for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and more.

Whether leading groups, sitting with clients, or driving social change, Caleb brings empathy, insight, and a deep sense of purpose to everything he does.
