Crosstown Trails by Transit
Overview: Take a transit-friendly walk along 10 miles of the SF Crosstown Trails, starting at West Portal Station and ending at California St. & 6th Ave. Hop on, hop off as you like. Or walk the entire distance with us! We'll explore stretches of the original Crosstown Trail route as well as our new Double Cross route. Highlights include Edgehill Open Space, Twin Peaks, Mt. Olympus, Page Slow Street, Golden Gate Park, Mountain Lake Park — and some surprises.
Details: Terrain is mixed: pavement, stairways, and dirt trails. Pace is a steady 2.2 - 2.5 miles per hour; we'll regroup as needed so that no one is left behind. Carry water, snacks, and anything else you need. We’ll stop for lunch (bring your own) in Alamo Square. Restrooms near the start and along the route.
Plus: Bone up on your SF Muni trivia to win cool prizes!
