AI, Data Governance & Innovation - Canada & the G7
AI, Data Governance & Innovation: Canada & the G7 is a morning event to explore real-world implications and applications of Web3 in light of the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, AB June 15th-17th, 2025.
We welcome innovators, founders, investors, students, government representatives, builders, and tech leaders for a discussion and simulated encounter with Web 3. For familiarity, we’ll relate our to the G7. Topics will include blockchain, AI and cloud computing, decentralized infrastructure, and digital assets with a focus on business modelling for Web 3 era innovation.
The event will provide a second introduction and overview of CanUBlockchain’s first dapp: Vote Smash, a challenge and consensus platform that aims for win-win results for participants on contentious, difficult or ‘wicked problems’ through the use of gamification.
In the second half of the event, we’ll do a challenge and consensus walk-through for those who’d like to participate and/or observe the process to simulate activity-based decentralized ledger transactions.

Our panel topic discussion will continue to focus on the AI and data governance topic that will be part of G7 Summit conversations. We’ll be looking at Web 3 and data together with guests from Spur Innovation Centres, NexBridgeGlobal, and NextHomeLabs, as well as invited online special guest speakers.
10:35 -11:15 AM | Vote Smash Introduction & Simulation
After yesterday’s first introduction and simulation, we welcome hosting a slightly longer live simulation of the Vote Smash dapp.
Our aim will be to reach at least one viable consensus about a challenging question involving AI and data governance. Here we’ll do an interactive demo of decentralized decision-making in action, inviting participants to share their thoughts and ideas about the topics and questions asked for discussion.
Be welcome and invited to share your thoughts with us on important G7 topics and how they will impact our societies.
