​Come the waning light of Wednesday, May 21, when the Pacific breeze slips inland and the day’s ambition yields to evening reflection, an assembly of founders, investors, and curious minds of uncertain affiliation will convene at Standard Deviant Brewery, 280 14th Street, San Francisco.

​Thus begins the inaugural gathering of the Polaris Social Club of California, an esteemed society distinguished chiefly by its formal name and rigorously enforced unexclusivity, hosted by Alumni Ventures. No keynote, no panel—only the commerce of mind with mind and cold refreshments.

​All are welcome at 5:30 p.m.; wander in whenever inspiration moves you. We shall gather, unhurried, until 7:30 p.m.
