SF Game Development Presents: AWS GameDay: NFL Digital Experience
SF Game Development is thrilled to collaborate with AWS to bring you an exciting opportunity to dive into NFL data and showcase your AWS expertise. This hands-on, interactive event invites members to work together as a data analytics team to complete a web application designed for NFL fans. By leveraging real NFL data and AWS tools, you'll gain valuable insights into the game and discover how the NFL and AWS collaborate to enhance fan experiences.
This event is open to everyone—whether you're a seasoned game developer, an aspiring artist, a student, or an indie creator. To wrap up 2024 on a high note, we’re hosting this online workshop to provide an engaging learning experience. It’s the perfect chance to explore game development DevOps, master AWS cloud services, and apply these skills to your daily workflows as a game developer. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, create, and connect!
What You'll Learn:
What’s Involved: As a participant, you’ll use AWS services to manage data and build interactive features, such as video analytics and a stats query platform, just like a real NFL analytics team.
AWS Tools You’ll Use: Key services include AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Amazon Athena, Amazon QuickSight, Amazon SageMaker, and more.
Skills Focus: You’ll apply serverless architecture, data analytics, and Generative AI to solve challenges, making it ideal for hands-on AWS skill development. Serverless is crucial in game development so the skills you'll learn here are invaluable.
Virtual Setup: This is a virtual, individual exercise, so you can join from anywhere since we know many of our members have moved out of state.

Generative AI Integration: Use Amazon Bedrock and other AI tools to provide fans with insights in real-time.
Building the App: Utilize serverless architecture to ensure scalability and deliver a seamless fan experience.
Additional Information on the AWS NFL Partnership

This GameDay will let you experience some of these same insights by putting AWS technologies to use in a real-world NFL context.
System Requirements:
AWS will provide all of the infrastructure and technology that you need in order to work through the different scenarios. You just need the following items:
Computer for hands-on participation
Firefox or Chrome browser
Microphone for voice chat and Camera for better interaction (highly encouraged)
SSH client pre-installed: Putty (Windows) or SSH (Mac)
