Meet Ashley Bittner, Founding Partner at Firework Ventures, on the future of work (and life)
In this fireside chat session, Ashley Bittner, a Wharton alumnae, and a Founding Partner of Firework Ventures, will share her perspective on the future of work through the human-centered lens. She and her firm have invested in a number of early-stage startups, including Learn In, Stride Funding, Hone, Podium Education, Catch, BrainTrust, The Prelude Institute, and Edvo. We will get a chance to hear why she invested in these companies, her thesis, her outlook for the future of work, as well as her hobbies. We will make sure we have adequate time for live Q and As!
About Ashley - Ashley is a Founding Partner at Firework Ventures, an early-stage venture firm investing in the future of work. Previously she was an investor at Owl Ventures, and served across a variety of education organizations, ranging from schools, to a school district, to startups, to the Federal government. Before joining Owl, Ashley served as a White House appointee to the U.S. Department of Education where she worked in the Office of Innovation and Improvement to support the development and scaling of innovative approaches to improving student outcomes across the country. Ashley has also worked as a Consultant for the Boston Consulting Group. Ashley began her career as a 7th and 8th grade Social Studies teacher in the Bronx through Teach for America.
Ashley earned a MBA from the Wharton School and a MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School. She holds a BA from the University of Florida Honors Program. Ashley is a Truman Scholar for the state of Florida (2006).
