MUGIC Users Meetup No.3

​We’re thrilled to invite you to a live Zoom info session hosted by Mari Kimura - violinist, composer, and founder of MUGIC®. In this session, we would like to feature three passionate MUGIC users, Conner Simmons, Kevin Anthony and Eric Lemmon.

• ​Conner is a graduate student and a TA for Levy Lorenzo at The New School, where I led a three-day workshop in October. The New School was one of the first major customers of MUGIC2, even before its official release!

• ​Kevin was my first PhD advisee at UCI and an early adopter of MUGIC1, purchasing them for Brigham Young University, where he is now a professor.

• ​Eric earned his PhD from SUNY Stony Brook and was a member of Ensemble Decipher, which commissioned me to compose a MUGIC piece—the Dog Chewtoy piece KISMET! He is now a professor at Knox College.

​If time permits, Mari may show her current work, featuring MUGIC controlling IRCAM's improvisation engine, SOMAX, along with her initial exploration of controlling Max/Jitter (OpenGL).
